In 1948,
Holmes Thurmond created the very first boat of the Skeeter
line in Marshall, Texas, and the fast, stable boat soon
attracted the attention of fishermen. Since then, the company
has been setting and raising the standards in the boat
building business. Skeeter Boats has enjoyed over fifty years
of successes and innovations, and their accomplishments in
each passing decade has proved them to be superior in every
way. In 1961 Skeeter built the very first fibreglass boat, and
then in 1975 they designed and created the first V-bottom bass
boat in the industry. The next decade, the 1980’s, brought
on new innovations like the fish and ski combination boats,
and Skeeter was one of the first companies to build these
types of boats. In the 1990’s they came out with a new bass
fishing boat series that incorporated new and advanced hull
designs and modern styling. Today, Skeeter Boats delivers the
driest and smoothest ride in the industry.
Skeeter
Boats has always been the first to develop new innovations and
introduce new materials in the boating world. They have been
producing quality aluminum fishing boats for over half of a
century, and their superior experience is proven over and over
again in their product line. Skeeter developed the first
full-length rod box, and they were the first to introduce
innovative composite materials with their X-treme and X-Cel
construction. In 2001, Skeeter produced the first boats with
their new Torque Transfer Transom and Stringer System Transom.
These unique transoms take the vertical torque and energy from
the engines, and transfer them to the stringer systems in the
bottom of the boats.
There
are six boat series at Skeeter Boats, and all of the models
deliver quality and excellent fishing ability. With
twenty-three boats in total, Skeeter has a boat for everyone,
from tournament bass fishers to serious anglers and family
fishing. The I-class Series has three models:
- 20i, 21i, and 22i.
Incomparable to other bass boats, these boats considerably

The ZX Series

windscreens, under-seat cockpit coolers, dual tank fuel

appreciate the SX Series of boats. Skeeter has designed these

- SX 170, SX 180, SX 190 and
SX 200. Always giving a smooth dry ride, these boats

will want to own one of the SL Series boats. These boats

The fifth group

The last series
